Sprint Plans Guide

They are known for their high quality Vision multimedia package and plans with included long distance fees, even on local plans. Their national plan is not very attractive itself due to small nation wide coverage. What makes it a great deal is the offer to upgrade to a fixed roaming charge of $5 a month. This allows roaming on many major provider's networks and is only available for national plans. They do state that people who use it extensively on a regular basis will be terminated from this offer (meaning not more than half your minutes used on roaming).

If your looking to change your phone often, Sprint's CDMA network might not be the best choice. It would not be as easy as switching the SIM card of GSM phones, as their phones are locked just for their network. However, Sprint offers a large variety of phone manufacturer including less common brands such as Treo, Sanyo, Toshiba, Panasonic and Audiovox.

The advantage of going with Sprint is that the call quality is quite good since they use their own cell sites (they are 100% owned and operated by Sprint). With roaming agreements with many providers, this allows you to place a call almost anywhere in America. With the low roaming charges people who travels and makes a lot of long distance phone calls would find their plans very economical.

In general, they don't offer very good promotions and competitive prices for local use. Their customer service is sub par, but we can call it an average in the cell phone industry.
