If a lot of your friends and family also use Nextel, this can add up to great savings in money and minutes. Another innovative way Nextel phone plans attract people is that all incoming calls are free for their National Free Incoming plans. Despite the lower anytime minutes, you won't have to think about saving minutes when you receive a call! Depending how you use your phone you could really use this feature to your advantage!

The coverage area of Nextel cell phone plans is decent, being more concentrated on the west coast. They even have coverage in Canada for all those travellers out there.
