Product Description from Amazon.com

The Motorola MPx200 Smartphone is the first Smartphone based on the expandable Microsoft Windows Mobile 2002 OS, which is designed as a mobile companion to the ubiquitous Microsoft Office application suite. Intended for business users with GSM service (1800/1900), the MPX200 Smartphone features a single-chip Texas Instruments OMAP710 ARM processor (with GPRS radio), 32MB of RAM, 32MB of ROM, and a SD/MMC expansion slot.

All this is set up to run the usual Smartphone 2002 applications, including Pocket versions of Internet Explorer, Word, Outlook, MSN Messenger with predictive text, and Windows Media Player. So, you can use your MPX200 to view and edit Microsoft Word attachments, take meeting minutes, record business notes, draft letters, and more. And, like a PC windows application, you can just click on a URL to launch the Web browser, and click on an e-mail to reply via e-mail. Click on a phone number, and the MPX200 dials it for you.
The Windows Mobile-based Smartphone environment also adheres to SSL, WTLS and PPTP security standards, so online transactions and payments can be handled without worry.

While there is no built-in camera (an attachment can be purchased separately) the MPX200 can play WMA and MP3 files and video, and it can store up to 1GB worth of media on an SD card. Downloaded music can be played in the background while other applications are running.

The phone comes with a TFT 65K color internal screen display (the external screen is monochrome), and provides the expected (current) high-end functionality: you can send and receive web-based e-mail and swap text messages, schedule appointments, manage contacts, and organize your tasks. Then you can synchronize your Outlook calendar, contacts list, and messages with your desktop PC, either wirelessly, or with a USB connection by dropping the Smartphone into its cradle and letting ActiveSync software automatically do the rest. You can also specify what gets synchronized, and when.
